We understand children may feel intimidated by visiting the dentist, so we take the time to get to know them and create a positive experience. We use kid-friendly language to explain what their treatment will include so they know what to expect. Our compassionate team also offers various sedation options to meet your child’s needs and maximize their comfort.

At Jordan Landing Pediatric Dentistry, we combine modern technology and a gentle chairside manner to help your child smile confidently throughout their formative years. Our team works hard to make coming to the dentist something your child looks forward to and not something they fear. Whether your toddler needs their first visit or your teen needs a filling, we are here to help.

Meet Dr. Ryan Johansen, DDS

Dr. Johansen is a board-certified pediatric dentist. He graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California, in 2001. Following dental school, he completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Primary Children’s Medical Center.

He has been in private practice since 2003 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. A Utah native, Dr Johansen enjoys doing a wide variety of outdoor activities with his family. Dr. Johansen is married with five children—three sons and two daughters.

Meet Dr. Britton Birtcher

Dr. Birtcher has been a provider at our Rose Park location for over 3 years. Dr. Birtcher graduated from BYU and Roseman University and completed his AEGD residency through the Army for 5 years after dental school. He has lived in Colorado, Korea, and Texas.

Dr. Birtcher has a passion for working with children and is dedicated to helping every child feel comfortable and confident at the dentist. By creating a fun, welcoming environment and building trust with each patient, Dr. Birtcher strives to make every visit a positive experience that encourages a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Dr. Birtcher will be in our office once a month on Thursdays. Dr. Birtcher will be the provider at your next scheduled appointment. We are so excited for you to meet him!

From the moment you and your child walk into our West Jordan dental practice, you’ll be welcomed into a warm and inviting environment. Our friendly team is here to greet you, assist with check-in, and guide you to our comfortable waiting area. We value your time and do our best to keep appointments running smoothly so you can quickly get back to your day.

We know that visiting the dentist can feel overwhelming for children, so we take extra care to make the experience positive and stress-free. Our team uses kid-friendly language to explain each step of their treatment, helping them feel informed and at ease. To ensure their comfort, we offer a range of sedation options tailored to their needs, including nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation. Our goal is to create a safe, gentle, and supportive space where every child feels at ease.
